FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  A shooting victim told police he was shot by someone while waiting in a car for his friend early Wednesday morning.

The shooting victim arrived at the hospital around 2 a.m. The victim told police he was stopped on Calhoun Street near the Southgate area waiting for a friend. He said a man opened the door of his car and began shooting without saying anything.

The victim said he drove off, noticed he had been shot in the leg and then drove to the hospital. He told police he would not have been able to recognize the person who shot him and he couldn’t even be sure of the race of the shooter.

The victim had been shot twice in the left leg, once in the right leg and had a graze on his left arm. He was in stable condition.
