IPFW Looking Forward To Playing In C.I.T.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – For the first time in the program’s history IPFW’s season won’t end with a conference tournament loss.

As first reported by WANE-TV Tuesday night IPFW has accepted a bid to play in the College Insider.com Tournament.

IPFW’s C.I.T. opponent, game date, and location have yet to be determined, but the tournament’s website states that first round games will be played March 18 & 19.

Head coach Tony Jasick said IPFW will take a few days off and be back on the practice floor on Saturday. He says the team could know by then who they will be playing in the first round of the C.I.T.

IPFW returned to the Summit City at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night after a 15-hour bus ride from Sioux Falls. The Dons fell to North Dakota State 60-57 last night in the Summit League title game.

The University of Nebraska Omaha has already stated  it has accepted a bid to the C.I.T. The C.I.T. is made up of a 32-team field.
