FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Canlan Ice Sports and Lutheran Health Network have agreed to terminate Luteran’s naming rights for the facility four years into a ten-year deal.

The ten year deal that was made in November 2010. Canlan ice crew members could be seen taking down Lutheran’s signage on the rink Monday afternoon.

“While we continue to support the programs offered at the facility, LHN has decided to explore other opportunities to further its ongoing objective to promote wellness and help increase physical activity throughout the region,” said Geoff Thomas, public relations supervisor, Lutheran Health Network. “We have had a positive experience working with Canlan during the first four years of the SportsCenter’s existence.”

Canlan officials have started the search for a new naming rights partner.
