PHOENIX (WANE) – Norwell graduate Jarrod Parker’s road to the regular season saw another bump along the way Monday against the Dodgers.

A notoriously slow starter in spring training, Parker gave up four earned runs in 4.2 innings against the Dodgers. He gave up first inning home runs to Andre Ethier and Juan Uribe. On a positive note, Parker struck out five batters for the game.

In three starts this spring Parker’s ERA is 10.61. He is projected to be Oakland’s opening day starter.
