MBB: Dons Prepare For Semi-Final Showdown With SDSU

SIOUX FALLS, SD (WANE) – Following a dominating win over IUPUI in the Summit League Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday – IPFW is once again tasked with facing a team for the third time this season. The Dons meet South Dakota State Monday night in the tournament semi-finals.

IPFW and the Jackrabbits split their two regular season meetings. The Dons won on January 11th in Fort Wayne behind a 24-point effort from Luis Jacobo. SDSU claimed revenge in Brookings, SD a little less than a month later when they hammered IPFW 79-51 on February 6th.

Tony Jasick stressed on Sunday night that the key to advancing to Tuesday’s championship game will be forcing turnovers and letting his team get out and run for easy baskets. This is the second consecutive season IPFW has advanced to the Summit League Tournament semi-finals.
