FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  There’s one thing you can say about Fort Wayne, there’s no shortage of festivals and in 2014 there will be one more for residents to attend.

On March 14, details of a one-day event to be held on Saturday, May 17 will be announced.  The name of this festival has not yet been revealed, but a news release issued by IPFW indicates it will “kick-start the summer” and be a “community celebration of bikes, art and music in downtown Fort Wayne.”

Besides IPFW, other organizations involved with this festival include Arts United, the Downtown Improvement District, Fort4Fitness, Fort Wayne Trails, Visit Fort Wayne and the YLNI Barr Street Market.

While further details won’t be released until March 14, the festival will include a presentation of the IPFW Sculpture with Purpose bike racks to commemorate IPFW’s 50th anniversary. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
