WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  A snowmobile accident on Big Cedar Lake in Whitley County left a 55-year-old man injured on Wednesday.

Bennett had been riding alone going west across the lake when his snowmobile hit a mound of hardened snow, sending him and the snowmobile to become airborne.

When Indiana Conservation Officers arrived they found 55-year-old Paul Bennett lying on the ice with several people tending to him. He had multiple non-life threatening injuries and was alert.

Bennett was taken to the hospital to be treated.

Whitley County EMS, Indiana Conservation Officers, the Whitley County Sheriff’s Dept, Indiana State Police, and the Thorncreek Twp Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.
