MBB: IPFW Prepares For Conference Tournament

FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – IPFW has never reached the NCAA Tournament. It’s also never had a better chance.

The Dons enter this weekend’s Summit League Tournament as the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-4 conference record. Despite that – IPFW faces an uphill battle as it travels to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the start of tournament play on Saturday. The Dons are 0-3 this season in games played in either North or South Dakota, with the last win here taking place March 10th, 2013 in the Summit League quarterfinals.

Despite that – the Dons enter the postseason as a team that is both confident, while still feeling it has something to prove. IPFW opens with IUPUI in the quarterfinals Saturday night, a team the Dons beat twice during the regular season.
