FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Only one more weekend to take advantage of the Ice rink in downtown Fort Wayne! The last day to enjoy the Headwaters Park Ice Rink this season will be on Sunday, March 2.
Despite the frigid temperatures and near-record snowfall, the rink saw between 19,000 and 20,000 skaters this winter. The best season in 2011-2012 saw a record number more than 26,000 skaters.
Skaters will be able to take advantage of a two for one special during the rink’s last weekend. There will be one free admission for each one purchased at regular price, for children and adults. The rink will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and form noon until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The prices are $3 for children 13 and under and $5 for children 14 and over and adults. Skate rentals are $2 or skaters can bring their own.
Free parking is available in the Headwaters Park lot, which can be accessed from Clinton and Barr Streets.
