Ind. ex-principal arrested for inappropriate texts to student

MADISON CO., Ind. (WISH) – Police said an ex-Frankton Jr./Sr. High School principal was arrested on Sunday after he sent inappropriate text messages to a student.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a female student told school officials that Jerry Hoss Jr., 43, of Anderson, sent her inappropriate text messages from June to August. Another student accused Hoss of inappropriate conduct with a student during the previous school year.

Hoss has been charged with one count of attempted child exploitation, a Class D felony; one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor (drugs), a Class A misdemeanor; and two counts of official misconduct, a Class D felony.

Hoss was a principal at the school from July 2005 to June 2013. He resigned in August, court documents said.
