Double shooting suspect in court

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man accused of attempted murder for a February double shooting made his first appearance in court on Wednesday.

Trameil Jackson was the first arrest for the Fort Wayne Police Department’s new Gang and Violent Crimes Unit. He was arrested on Friday, February 14, just three days after the shooting he is accused of took place.  He is charged with the attempted murder of DeAndrew Moore and Devonte Jones

Investigators said Jackson is a confirmed member of the Fort Wayne street gang “MOB”. When he was arrested, police found a .38 caliber revolver on him.

Police also previously told NewsChannel 15 Jackson is a convicted felon.

He is being held without bond on the following charges:

  • Attempted Murder, a class  A felony
  • Carrying a Handgun without license, a class C felony
  • Unlicensed Driver, a class C misdemeanor
