BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – The Indiana University vs. Iowa University men’s basketball game scheduled for Tuesday night in Assembly Hall has been postponed after a piece of metal fell from the ceiling into a section of seats.

Fred Glass, Indiana University vice president and athletic director, says an 8-foot metal facing fell from the ceiling and damaged seats in the lower part of Section F.

The game was scheduled to start at 9 p.m. The game will be postponed until experts can figure out what caused the metal piece to fall.

Glass says safety is his No. 1 priority.

It is unclear if Wednesday night’s IU women’s game against University of Michigan will be rescheduled.
