EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WANE) – Police arrested 65 people for underage drinking at a house party in Evansville Saturday night after receiving several phone calls about a large party.

According to police, dispatchers received several calls about the party, which was at a home in the 2700-block of Allens Lane on the northwest side of Evansville. The callers said there was underage drinking going on at the party and cars parked in the road.

Indiana State Excise Police, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police officers went to the home at around midnight and found 65 minors who were drinking inside the home and garage.

All but one of those 65 people were drinking alcohol and will have to appear in Vanderburgh Misdemeanor Court. Two of the people who were cited lived at the home, police said.

Police said a 19-year-old man was arrested at the party on preliminary charges of illegal consumption of alcohol and resisting law enforcement.

Four of the 65 minors were younger than 18 years old. Police said they were all ticketed and released to their parents.
