Fort Wayne gang member arrested for attempted murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department Gang and Violent Crimes Unit arrested a man in connection to a shooting on Tuesday, February 11.

Trameil Jackson, 24, was arrested February 14 for attempted murder in the double shooting that injured DeAndrew Moore and Devonte Jones.

According to police, Jackson shot Jones and Moore at Decatur Road and Dawnan Drive. The two were found lying on the ground bleeding.

Investigators said Jackson is a confirmed member of the Fort Wayne street gang “MOB”. When he was arrested, police found a .38 caliber revolver on him.

Police said Jackson is a convicted felon. He is being held without bond for the following charges:

  • Attempted Murder A Felony
  • Carrying a Handgun without license C Felony
  • Unlicensed Driver C Misdemeanor

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the ATF helped with the arrest.
