Police investigate a shooting on Decatur Road

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  Two people suffered minor injuries after a car was shot at just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday according to Fort Wayne police.

Very little information has been released, however police told NewsChannel 15 that the car was headed down Decatur Road near the intersection of Dawnan between Paulding and Tillman at 1:35 p.m. when the shooting took place.

Police believe the shots came from another car but have not been able to get a description of it.

When they arrived, police found the two victims on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The car they had been in ended up off the road and in a ditch.

A group of officers canvassed Decatur Road just north of where the two victims were and found multiple shell casings.

The incident remains under investigation.
