AVON, Ind. (WISH) — Police arrested a man who allegedly abducted and raped two women at gunpoint in Avon. Investigators think he may be responsible for other similar crimes.

The victims said they were abducted at gunpoint on Friday by a man who forced them into their car. A three-year-old child was with them at the time, according to police.

The women told police the suspect took them to an apartment building and raped them, then forced them to drive to their home in Clermont, where he raped them again. A man at the home was bound and beaten by the suspect, according to the women.

Police were able to track the man down because he stole a car from the home in Clermont, according to police.

On Sunday, Indianapolis officers found the car and arrested the man. His name and photo are being withheld as investigators determine whether he was responsible for other crimes.
