Two injured after head-on crash on icy roads

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A two-car crash in DeKalb County injured two people after one car lost control on the icy roads and drove into oncoming traffic Friday night.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, Colby Stackhouse, 19, of Corunna, was driving northbound on CR 19, north of CR 40, at around 7 p.m. when he attempted to get into the right hand lane due to lane restrictions.

Police said Stackhouse lost control of his car on the icy roads and went into oncoming traffic, hitting a second car head-on.

The driver of the second car, Angela McPherson, 34, of Butler, suffered minor injuries. Her passenger, Zack McPherson, 38, of Butler, suffered a pelvic fracture and dislocated hip.

The two were taken to Parkview Regional Hospital for their injuries. Angela was discharged and Zach remains in fair condition, according to police.

Stackhouse and his passenger were not injured in the crash, according to police.
