FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Three people were arrested in a drug bust Friday after police found cocaine and marijuana, along with a five-year-old child, in a Fort Wayne home.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers served a search warrant at a home on 4714 S. Lafayette Street at around 11 a.m. Friday.
During the search, police found drug paraphernalia, scales for measuring cocaine, and cocaine.
Andrea L. Barnett, 49, was found inside the home, along with a five-year-old girl. Police said the child was released to her mother.
A car pulled up to the home during the search of the home and was detained by police. The driver, Ronald E. Sanders, 44, had cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia on him.
Barnett and Sanders were arrested at the scene.
Barnett faces three counts of Dealing Cocaine, a class B felony. He was also charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a class D felony, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a class D felony.
Sanders faces a Possession of Cocaine charge, a Possession of Marijuana charge, and a Possession of Paraphernalia charge, all of which are class D felonies.
Michael Thomas, who lives next door, was also arrested for Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Several dogs who had been locked in the garage without heat and food were taken by Fort Wayne Animal Control Units, according to police.
