FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  Because of this week’s storm that left nearly 10 inches of snow in some parts of the Fort Wayne, garbage and recycling trucks from Republic Services were not able to get to many customers who place their carts in alleys.

About 5000 customers who normally have Wednesday collection and were already delayed a day because of the storm were not picked up Thursday, either.

Thursday night more than 30 plows worked in alleys to clear the snow so crews could pick up the carts on Friday.

Normal Thursday collection will take place Friday, February 7 and normal Friday collection will be moved to Saturday, February 8. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
