INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – After cold and snow kept many Hoosier students out of the classroom, officials voted to give schools more time to administer the ISTEP exam.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz recommended the change and officials with the State Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday to extend the ISTEP testing window.
The applied skills portion of the exam was supposed to run from March 3 until March 12. But, the window will now be open from March 3 until March 21.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz recommended the expansion and it was passed unanimously.
