Carroll’s Tranquill Officially Inks With Irish

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Carroll senior Drue Tranquill officially became a Notre Dame football player on Wednesday, inking his letter of intent on National Signing Day.

Tranquill, who originally committed to Purdue in the summer, switched his sights to Notre Dame in November.

At 6-2, 210 pounds Tranquill will be counted on to play safety for the Irish according to head coach Brian Kelly.

Tranquill was an IFCA 6A first-team All-state pick as a senior. He racked up 75 tackles as a senior. Offensively, Tranquill tallied almost 1,800 total yards and 33 touchdowns.
