Pizza deliveryman’s stolen car found after fatal shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Jeep that was reported missing after the fatal shooting of a Papa John’s pizza deliveryman was found Saturday morning in Indianapolis.

Police said Daniel Jaffke, 30, of Indianapolis, was delivering a pizza to a couple in the 4100 block of Continental Court Friday around 7 p.m. Shortly after Jaffke dropped off the pizza, the couple walked outside and spotted him lying face down.

Police said Jaffke died from a gunshot wound. Police said Friday that the suspect stole Jaffke’s car.

The car was recovered in a parking lot behind of a laundromat in the 1600 block of South East Street on Saturday morning.

IMPD detectives said they don’t have any suspects as of Saturday.
