FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police shut down I-69 for a short time Friday night because of a crash.

The closure affected the southbound lanes of the interstate between mile markers 288 and 296. That’s just south of the GM plant in southern Allen County.

I-69 reopened around 9:00 p.m.

It appears that the crash involved a wrecker and two other vehicles. A total of five people suffered injuries, but no one was seriously hurt. Police haven’t said what caused the crash.
