FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Driving conditions have certainly been worse.
But snowfall on Wednesday which ended around midnight Thursday has allowed snow plows and salt trucks to treat roads overnight. Some slick spots and the potential for black ice are possible on some lesser traveled roads.
INDOT trucks have worked overnight to clear major roads, including both I-69 and I-469. Law enforcement has worked some minor crashes and slide-offs, but no major crashes.
City streets are snow covered in areas with some more popular traveled routes slushy and wet. Residential side streets remain snow covered and slick.
County roads and rural areas may see blowing and drifting across some roads, but not nearly as bad as Monday morning.
Motorists should slow down Thursday morning and expect an slick commute in some areas.
