DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  One person died in a three-vehicle accident in DeKalb County on Tuesday.

The accident happened on County Road 427 at County Road 50 around 10:15 a.m.

According to Indiana State Police spokesperson Sergeant Ron Galaviz, 57-year-old Steven Westrick, of Auburn, was driving a Dekalb County plow truck down County Road 50.  Westrick was unable to stop the truck on the snowy roadway.

The truck slid into the intersection at County Road 427.  The plow truck hit a semi driven by 38-year-old Daniel Crowell, of Lima, Ohio.  The semi jackknifed and went into the northbound lane.  It was then that the semi and a pick-up driven by 20-year-old Kenneth Lindley II, of Kendallville, collided.

Lindley was pronounced dead at the scene.  Westrick and Crowell were not injured.
