WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) Warsaw police arrested a man on Monday after they say he confronted and stabbed his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.
According to police, 24-year-old Donaldo Velasquez, of Warsaw, saw his ex-girlfriend with her new boyfriend parked in the 700-block of 715 E. Winona Avenue, and he stopped to confront the two.
The woman was between the two men but Velasquez reached into the parked truck and cut the other man with a razor blade. The new boyfriend was cut on the right side of his face and head, the girlfriend immediately drove away to take the victim to the hospital.
Nappanee Police found Velasquez’s car and arrested him. He admitted to the stabbing in an interview with police. He faces a class B felony charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a Prosecutor’s hold with no bond.
