Death investigation on Myanna Lane

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Police said a daughter found her mother dead inside of a home in the Creekwood subdivision Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to the home, which is located at 5518 Myanna Lane, around 1:05 p.m. The subdivision is across the street from the Jonathan Oaks subdivision, off of Saint Joe Center Road.

According to Fort Wayne Police Department Spokesperson Michael Joyner, the victim’s daughter called 911 after finding her mother dead inside of the home. The daughter told police she couldn’t get in touch with her mother so she went to the home.

Officers also found a dog at the home. Animal Care and Control was called in to remove the dog, according to police.

Neighbors at the scene told NewsChannel 15 that the victim was a Mary Kay Cosmetics saleswoman.

Police said an autopsy will be performed on the victim on Saturday to determine the cause of death and identify the woman.
